There are many aspects of cricket that you cannot control. The conditions. The pitch. Umpiring decisions. The opposition. Just to name a few.

However how fit and strong you are IS IN YOUR CONTROL!

Like any athlete, cricketers need to follow a strength and conditioning program to reach their peak physical state.

How fit you are is determined by your decisions. Everyone knows what they SHOULD be doing. It’s the ones the TAKE THE ACTION that become the best.

Who are these programs for?

Whether you’re a batter, bowler or wicket-keeper and if you have limited/ no experience or lots of experience in strength & conditioning training, we’ve got a program that’s going to help you become fitter, stronger, fast, more powerful & less likely to get injured. These programs aren’t for you if you just want big muscles to look good in the mirror (although you WILL look good if you follow the program and have a disciplined diet). Our aim is to help you become the best athlete you can be and improve the specific muscles you need to perform your skill (batting, bowling, wicket-keeping) consistently for long periods of time. Each program focuses on mobility and functional exercises that will give you a strong foundation to minimise the risk of injury in your career and improve your power (hitting sixes, bowling faster or taking diving catches). Programs range from beginners who have never done any strength work before, to young professionals who are wanting to gain an extra edge to their preparation. Our strength and conditioning programs incorporate exercises that international cricketers use to keep themselves in the best condition possible.

Who’s created the programs?

Like everything we do at Cricket Mentoring, we want to bring you the best information possible. And we’re proud to say that all the programs have been designed by the cricket strength & conditioning experts at Ap3x Performance. Garrick Morgan and Rob Chipchase are the founders of Ap3x Performance – a leader in strength and conditioning and athlete development. Garrick holds a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) while Rob holds a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (Certified AEP) and a Masters in Strength and Conditioning (Msc). Both Garrick and Rob are also certified by the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA), which Rob is a level 2 coach and an Australian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) level 1 coach. Rob is currently the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) while Garrick has played for Western Australia second XI.
